Escape for a night into the romance of Bollywood with soulful singer Usman Farooqui.

Usman Farooqui was born in Lahore, Pakistan and raised in Manchester. His career as a live performer began in 2017, after he won the Bollywood talent show in Manchester.

He composed and wrote his first release Jalwa in 2018, which was a hit, released through India’s biggest label T-Series.

He loves old and new styles of Bollywood music; his biggest inspirations are Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, MD Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Atif Aslam and Arijit Singh, whose vocals he finds the most perfect of the era.

He is also known for playing Melas around the UK – he has always sang Asian songs and has even created a mash up of the popular Indian song Pehli Nazar Mein with the Justin Bieber song Cold Water.

Farooqui likes to compose and write his own music as this helps him to develop his composing and singing skills. He has a number of compositions ready to release soon.
