Sunday 22 November 2026 | 1:00pm | FREE EVENT

Join Radio Sangam and Communities Together for a free guided walk along the beautiful Spen Greenway, travelling from Ravensthorpe to Cleckheaton.

As part of our Seasons of Culture programme, this autumn community walk invites you to explore the natural environment, discover local wildlife and celebrate the changing seasons through creativity and art.

Whether you enjoy walking, nature, photography, arts and crafts, or simply spending time outdoors with others, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and your local community.

🍂 Explore, Discover, Collect & Create

As autumn gives way to winter, the Spen Greenway offers a chance to appreciate the beauty of the natural world and the wildlife that shares our local green spaces.

During our guided walk, we will:

• EXPLORE – Take in the seasonal scenery, trees, plants and foliage along the Spen Greenway.
• DISCOVER – Look out for local birds, wildlife and interesting features of the natural environment.
• COLLECT – Gather fallen leaves and other suitable natural materials, where permitted.
• CREATE – Use the colours, shapes and textures of our finds to inspire a piece of artwork.

The activity combines outdoor exploration, environmental awareness and creative expression, encouraging participants to see familiar places in new ways.
