As reported by the BBC, Lisa Nandy has stated she is “not satisfied” with Channel 4’s response to the government in regard to allegations of rape and sexual assault by female cast members who have appeared on Married at First Sight UK.
In May this year, the BBC broadcasted a Panorama episode covering the allegations. The two women maintain their allegations whilst the men involved have denied the claims.
This Thursday Lisa Nandy had informed her fellow MPs that she would be meeting with Channel 4 soon to discuss the matter.
Following the allegations the broadcaster has already lost sponsorships, including from tourism company TUI.
The broadcaster is yet to comment on the status of the show moving forward, but as of now they have made the decision to remove all episodes of the show from their streaming service.
