King Charles to reveal personal tax bill with the public

    This Thursday, Kings Charles III will share his personal tax bill with the public- becoming the first monarch in the modern era to do so.

    As reported by the BBC, the palace has stated that this decision has been made personally by the king.

    This king and the Royal family have previously been under fire due to the actions and accusations posed towards Andrew Mountbatten- Windsor. The royal family have often been accused of protecting him, this label was further cemented with the reports that the royal family had loaned money to him to pay off Virginia Giuffre.

    Queen Elizabeth II is believed to have loaned £7 million, with a further £3 million coming from the estate of Prince Phillip. The now King was also revealed to have donated £1.5 million to his brother.

    The reveal of the Kings tax bill has been made to increase transparency of royal finances following scandals with Prince Andrew.

    King Charles has also made the choice to pay income tax and capital gains tax on any sale of private assets despite monarchs not being obliged to.
