Kirklees are yet to elect a leader. They were absent from the first West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) meeting since the election. Representatives from Leeds, Bradford, Calderdale, Wakefield and York were all in attendance.
As reported by the BBC, Reform did emerge victorious in the Kirklees local elections. They gained 29 out of the 69 available seats. No parties were able to gain party making it difficult to select a leader.
Kirklees Council is expected to meet again on 15 July to once again attempt to elect a leader.
