launch of World Championship of Legends 2024 Cricket

    For those of us that have recently been disappointed on what cricket has to offer and we hark back to the days of old, there's something nostalgic and exciting on our doorstep. The WCL features the greatest cricketers of our youth. It's a real competition, a real new league and full of well known legends.

    Some of the biggest names in International Cricket history have come together for a new legends tournament. yes they may be a little slower and a little older but this is not stopping growing excitement amongst fans. Yes it's a little nostalgic but nevertheless competitive featuring stars from England, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies. Confirmed players include Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, Kevin Pietersen, Shaun Marsh, Jacques Kallis and Chris Gayle amongst others.

    The unveiling of the trophy was carried out at Edgbaston by Bollywood royalty Jacqueline Fernandez and Ajay Devgn. Radio Sangam spent a great evening with the players, the owners of the teams and ambassadors. 

    Excitement is rampant with Australia v Pakistan and England v India matches already sold out. Tickets are available at https://wcl.edgbaston.com, of course we already know that the match that will have feverish attention will be India v Pakistan. 

    Players have expressed that one of the things that they are keen on is harmony between players and countries. The future of the WCL is to host it across the globe including in Saudi Arabia and other nations.

    The tournament will begin on the 3rd July and end on the 13th July with two sites being used to host the matches. Listen to Radio Sangam for interviews and match updates.
