A local cycling charity received funding from a construction firm to buy accessible bikes. This includes 4 wheeled bikes as well as tricycles which allow for those with disabilities to take part in sessions.
As reported by the Huddersfield Hub, Streetbikes received a £6,800 donation from Esh construction. Streetbikes are a charity which specialises in recycling bikes with the hopes of supporting underprivileged children in Kirklees. One of their goals is to be inclusive of all vulnerable adults & children, regardless of their ability.
The Funding was awarded through YORhub YOR4Good fund in partnership with Esh Construction. YORhub’s YOR4Good fund works to provide support and funding for voluntary and community organisations.
Streetbikes sessions take place at Spenborough Athletic Track in Liversedge. Information on how to take part can be found om their website.
