From 29 June to 2 September 2026 the University of Huddersfield at their Bath House Gallery will host a Post Office Cultures Exhibition. The internation exhibition will focus on the histories of post offices in both the UK and India.
The exhibition is part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) project which forms part of a partnership between the University of Huddersfield and World University of Design located in India. The partnership hopes to share the work from the locations in which the universities are located in and by researchers from Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Simla, Delhi. The exhibition will run through South Asian heritage month. Visitors are encouraged to get stuck in and enrich their learning about South Asian culture.
The exhibit will share the work through 3D digital scanning, filmmaking, letter writing, sound recording, oral histories, and podcasting. The exhibition hopes to highlight voices which are often overlooked.

Location and Access
Bath House Gallery, Sovereign Design House, University of Huddersfield
Visitors should arrive at the entrance of the Sovereign Design House for tours and workshops. The gallery space is accessible and located on the ground floor, with seating available on request and support for access requirements where needed.
