With the FIFA World Cup now underway, football fans across Huddersfield are looking to find the best places to catch the action.

    Where to watch?

Venues across Huddersfield will be showing the games, including the home of Huddersfield Town AFC. The Accu Stadium will be screening England’s final group game against Panama on 27 June.  Tickets cost £5 for Adults whilst children under 12 go for free.

The Light Huddersfield will also screen England’s match against Panama. Prices are yet to be announced.

The World Cup has also been accompanied by a number of official and unofficial songs. Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi performed alongside Vegedream and Sanjoy at the World Cup opening ceremony in Canada with their song Siir Siir.

Nora Fatehi became a household name in Bollywood after her debut in the film, Roar: Tiger of the Sundarbans. She has continued to expand her reach with her dance and performance skills. The Canadian Moroccan artist has reached notable achievements with her hit song Dilbar reaching over a billion views on YouTube.

The song Siir Siir has been attributed to the Moroccan football slogan which translates to Go Go. It became popular during Morocco’s historic World Cup Run in 2022 as well as the most recent Africa Cup of Nations.

It’s not the only song gaining attention, Nottingham based Masti created their own World Cup anthem. Their song “Tinga-linga-linga-linga-linga-linga England!” has gone viral gaining over 300 thousand views on both Instagram and TikTok.
