With the scorching weather you may be tempted to go for a swim in your local rivers or canals- but you must be mindful of the risks.

- Tell them to FLOAT on their back
- THROW rescue equipment to keep them afloat until emergency services arrive
How to prevent Burglary during hot weather?
Simple steps to protect your property:
- Always lock doors and windows when not in use.
- Keep open windows secure and out of easy reach.
- Don’t leave valuables (bikes, tools, keys) on display.
- Fit good locks and consider motion lighting.
- Report suspicious activity via 101 or Crimestoppers (0800 555 111).
- In an emergency, always call 999.
- Make sure to register any valuables.
Pets and Hot Weather
Weather can be dangerous for pets, especially when left alone in vehicles.
Remember to:
- Leave dogs in parked vehicles.
- Know the signs of heatstroke.
- Avoid walking dogs in extreme heat
