Oldham, Bradford, Keighley, and London have been announced as the first locations for the Statutory Independent inquiry, chaired by Baroness Anne Longfield.
As reported by the BBC, the review has been created to discover whether or not prior inquiries have helped and if changes have been made across the board. As in Oxford and Rotherham.
The inquiry has already faced some challenges as with the resignation of Fiona Goddard, abuse survivor. She had made the decision to leave the inquiry over her view of the other chairs and if they had the proper experience within policing and social services.
The inquiry hopes to clear up what the public know about how the system treats grooming gangs. Authorities would hope to have the public discover the extent of the grooming which occurred behind the authorities backs.
